Teacher training course at Nairobi Steiner School expands / Lehrerausbildungskurs an der Nairobi Steiner Schule verzeichnet Zuwachs

By Judith Brown

Nairobi, 10 August (NNA) - The teacher training course regularly held at the Rudolf Steiner School Mbagathi, Nairobi, Kenya, is expanding. Since the first module was held in April, the course has grown by nine students to 33 participants from Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.

Peter van Alphen and Ann Sharfinan from South Africa's Centre for Creative Education are conducting the second module.

The course leads to a diploma in Steiner Education after two weeks of training in each term and coursework over a period of approximately three years. Peter van Alphen and Ann Sharfinan began this project in Tanzania at the Hekima Waldorf School in Dar es Salaam. Since then, the course has been moved to the Nairobi school.

The Nairobi school is still seeking a class teacher for September 1999 and January 2000.
