Information about Waldorf education in further languages

BERLIN (NNA)- Information about the Waldorf education is now also available in Arabic.

The Berlin-based international organisation Friends of Waldorf Education, which supports education projects throughout the world, recently announced that its catalogue “Waldorf Education” had now also been translated into Arabic. The 87-page publication provides an illustrated introduction to the principles of Waldorf education.

The catalogue was initially written to accompany an exhibition of the same name which was shown for the first time in 1994 on occasion of a UNESCO conference in Geneva. Translated since then into many languages, Arabic is the latest to join the list. „This translation will contribute to making Waldorf education known in another important cultural area,“ The Friends of Waldorf Education said.

In a separate development, the six monthly Newsletter of the organisation is now also available free of charge in English at www.freunde-waldorf.de. It has for many years provided a lively perspective on the international Waldorf and curative education movement. Recently, each issue has focused on a particular region. So far there have been reports on East Asia and South-East Europe. The focus this autumn will be on Africa.

Demeter frozen foods keep growing

STREICHSMÜHLE, Germany (NNA) - Demeter-Felderzeugnisse GmbH, the company which pioneered the introduction of frozen organic foods in Germany, has celebrated its tenth anniversary.

Over that period the company had contributed significantly to introducing frozen organic products to the health food market, the Demeter organisation said, and had developed into one of the largest providers of organic frozen food both in the wholesale and retail sector.

Sustainable agriculture, careful processing and social responsibility applied as much to the production of frozen foods as they did to the fresh Demeter products, the organisation said.
