Organic agriculture competition for school students
Berlin, 15 January (NNA) – The German ministry for consumer affairs, food and agriculture is encouraging school students to take a closer look at organic agriculture. Under the punning motto “Bio find ich Kuh-l – Und ihr?!” (Kuh = cow, Kuh-l = homonym of cool: “I think organic is cool – do you?!”) the ministry has called on students from classes 1 to 10 to participate in a competition taking a fresh look at the subject. The competition, open to classes, groups and individuals, closes on 20 April 2004. According to a statement, the “kuh-lest” submissions will receive an “Eco Oscar” and many attractive prizes. The competition is part of the federal programme for organic agriculture initiated by the ministry.
